THE MOST FAMOUS BOXER
Muhammad Ali was born on January 17, 1942. He is the three-time World Heavyweight Champion and he is already a retired American boxer. In his amateur years, he won a gold medal in the light heavyweight division at the Summer Olympics in Rome in1960. He now is widely considered one of the greatest heavyweight champion boxers of all time. Ali was crowned "Sportsman of the Century” in 1999.
Ali fought several historic boxing matches through out the world and he was given a nickname; 'The Greatest'. His rivals were Joe Frazier and George Foreman, whom he beat by knockout to win the world heavyweight title for the second time. He had a record of 5 losses (four decisions and one TKO) with no draws and he had a record of 56 wins (37 knockouts and 19 decisions). He became famous for his unique style of fighting which he calls it as “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee”, and a killer technique; the “rope-a-dope”.
